Back to Brisbane after 4 years, missing the carefree company from the othertime! Took a slow morning walk in town before heading back to the hotel for our long rightful nap. The blue skies were so mesmerizing that it makes every single shot picture perfect. I can definitely get used to this life. 

Flying has been quite alright thus far, and I couldn't be more thankful. Nothing is more fulfilling than a sincere 'thank you' or 'you have worked hard'. It is inevitable to meet some nasty people around but sometimes you just have to be kind to the unkind. Though it is just sad when some take kindness for weakness. :( 

It feels good to start penning down some thoughts since it's really been a long time since I last done this... Still prefer the old-school blogger than other micro-blogging sites (otherthan instag of course). 

So, to anybody who still reads this space, till then! 

this is a long post

Day 1:
There wasn't any pre-departure xcitement or anything. More of like, 'Am I really going Brisbane today?' Guess the trip is really too last minute for me to handle haha. Just the day before I was shopping w @kSachdev for a suitable jacket/coat/wtv .

Reached Brisbane at like 2am and drove down to ze hotel~ The whole place was pretty quiet and everything.

Hotel for the night. its a budget hotel btw but the room/toilet/everything was bigger than our 4.5 star hotel in gold coast. How contradicting.




Day 2:
Everyone was saying that it will be freezing cold in Brisbane but its alright for me. Ok its pretty cold in the night (after like 4pm) but bearable during daytime i suppose. So... I didn't put my 2 jeans into good use. Plus 2 shorts, 2 dresses and a few long sleeve tops. Overpacked... I know.

Then was lunch at chinatown (which sucked) haha there is Chinatown basically everywhr. I like bkk's the most though. The shopping....





I remember all of us were bushed (aussie lingo for tired) during the lunch. We slept at 4 and had to wake up at like 7? I was literally dozing off during the talks at uq (University of Queensland).



I guess this patch of field at uq really made us tempted to further our studies in Brisbane. How often do you see people just lazing around the grass, reading a book or just hanging out in Singapore? Its so... Relaxing and movie-like.

There are other more tempting things though... Like it only takes 1.5 years to complete the degree and the weather omg the weather is awesome over thr. Had a talk with daddy hahaha. It takes 30k more (frugal living expenses included) to study there as compared to a local university. Worthy if its more recognised...

Oh well. First pirority will be a local uni but that goal seem to be drifting away each day. :(

I think we shopped at Woolworths almost every night because the chocolates there are mad cheap!! Some flavors are not even available in sg... At the end of trip, I bought like 15 big bars of cadbury... 6 pkts of other kinds of choco... Opps.





Day 3:

We visited QUT (University of Queenslands Technology). It really felt that they were seducing us to study in Brisbane. The whole 40% of Brisbane revenue comes from international students really proved it. Pretty place but ya...









We visited an advertising agency too and it was so cool inside. No photos because we were all tired and sweaty after walking like a thousand miles to the building. Kinda inspired by this company to stay in marketing.

Shopping wasn't that great in aussie. We expected aus brands like cotton on, supre, diva, billabong, etc to be cheaper over there but it wasn't the case. $30sgd for 2 tops in cotton on is also $30aus over there... :(

Day 4:

My legs were so wide open. This thing will turn like 360deg around and you feet will be dangling in the air... So I guess I subconsciously 'kiap-ed' my both feet at the sides so that it wouldn't dangle. So embarrassing...

Day 5:



We were at Point Danger and the view was so pretty! Willing to die for a house facing the Pacific Ocean... The sea breeze and everything. Sigh if only we were able to pack all of those into our luggage and bring it back to s'pore. :(

At Tropical Fruit World where we basically sat all modes of transportation. Bus there, some tractor thing, boat and the miniature train (trust me, miniature).

Moved on to Wildlife blahblah where the steak sucked haha. Most boring place throughout the trip. Maybe I was just too tired.

Day 6:

Woke up at 5am (sg time:3am) just to see the sunrise at Surfer's Paradise but... It was cloudy. The water was cold the air was cold everything was cold and it was a complete waste of time, could have slept more...

We were at Habourtown where there are like 100 over factory outlets there. Satisfied my shopping cravings because the stores at gold coast can be quite pricey hehe. Luvin' my loots!

Particularly in luv w this shop called 'Typo'. More of the wall deco they sold haha was so tempted to get that Eiffel Tower... :(

That sums up my 7d4n at Brisbane/Gold Coast. It was fun and definitely memorable with the awesome company over there. Of course I got to know more about people who are like acquaintance in the past... In the good way and bad way though. The knowledge gained is like whoa.

Long post right bet most of you are just looking at the peektures. From 540 photos in camera to 200 photos for fb and lastly, 100 for blog.
